Ah, spring.
That season when the heart quickens and thoughts turn to love yard sales!
Yes, my dear frugal friends, you know what I am talking about.
Your family recognizes that starry eyed look of longing as you imagine the bargains awaiting your rescue.
Well, that and the sudden u-turns worthy of a stunt driver when you drive by a hand-lettered “YARD SALE TODAY!” sign.
For some of us, however, garage sale deals are not enough.
We like free or nearly free.
Finding those deals take a little more work and especially knowing where to look, but they are worth it.
The more you practice, of course, the easier it becomes.
You, too, may then develop that finely tuned sense of Freedar—that’s like Radar, only different —that alerts you to big bargains.
Of course, I would not tantalize you with the possibility without giving you your own map, as it were.
